Kontribusi Aktivitas E-Commerce terhadap Timbulan Sampah: Studi Empiris di Kota Semarang

Abstrak
Penelitian ini menganalisis dampak konsumsi e-commerce terhadap timbulan sampah di Kota Semarang, khususnya di Kelurahan Patemon. E-commerce yang semakin dominan pada era industri 4.0 telah mengubah konsumsi masyarakat dan mempengaruhi timbulan sampah rumah tangga. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui survei kepada 100 responden pengguna e-commerce, dan menganalisis hubungan antar variabel menggunakan regresi linear dan uji mediasi Sobel. Penelitian ini mengevaluasi timbulan sampah sebagai variabel terikat (Y), konsumsi e-commerce sebagai variabel bebas (X1), perilaku konsumen (I1) dan kesadaran lingkungan (I2) sebagai variabel intervening. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa konsumsi e-commerce berpengaruh positif terhadap timbulan sampah, sementara perilaku konsumen terbukti memediasi hubungan tersebut. Sebaliknya, kesadaran lingkungan tidak memiliki efek mediasi yang signifikan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan edukasi konsumsi bertanggung jawab, penguatan fasilitas pengelolaan sampah berbasis komunitas, kampanye anti-pembakaran sampah, insentif daur ulang, serta regulasi kemasan ramah lingkungan pada platform e-commerce untuk mengurangi dampak negatif konsumsi digital terhadap lingkungan.
