KOMUNIKASI ORANG TUA DAN PERILAKU SEKSUAL REMAJA SEKOLAH MENENGAH KEJURUAN DI KOTA BATURAJA
Abstrak
Latar Belakang: Perilaku seksual remaja yang berisiko tinggi telah menjadi masalah kesehatan masyarakat. Dampak negatif dari perilaku seksual remaja berakibat fatal terhadap masa depan remaja dan kualitas generasi selanjutnya. Komunikasi orang tua memiliki peran yang besar terhadap perilaku seksual remaja Tujuan Penelitian: Untuk menganalisis peran komunikasi orang tua dalam mencegah perilaku seksual remaja berisiko tinggi. Metode Penelitian: Observasional dengan rancangan cross sectional. dan wawancara mendalam. Responden adalah 250 remaja kelas 3 SMK di Kota Baturaja. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik multistage random sampling, sedangkan penentuan jumlah sampel secara proporsional. Analisis data dengan univariabel, bivariabel dan multivariable. Hasil Penelitian: Komunikasi orang tua berhubungan dengan perilaku seksual remaja. Prevalensi remaja yang berperilaku seksual risiko tinggi lebih banyak 1,7 kali (RP 1.7 95%CI=1,13-3,83) ditemukan pada komunikasi orang tua yang buruk daripada komunikasi orang tua yang baik. Komunikasi orang tua mampu memprediksi kejadian perilaku seksual remaja yang berisiko tinggi sebesar 9,3% setelah dikontrol variabel umur, religiusitas, media dan teman sebaya. Analisis wawancara mendalam kepada remaja yang telah aktif seksual menunjukkan adanya komunikasi tentang seksualitas antara orang tua dengan remaja yang kurang terbuka, isi pesan moral yang tidak jelas dan cara penyampaian yang tidak nyaman. Kesimpulan: Komunikasi tentang seksualitas yang diberikan oleh orang tua dan pada usia yang sedini mungkin sangat berperan dalam mencegah perilaku seksual remaja yang berisiko tinggi. Pesan seksualitas sebaiknya diberikan dengan frekuensi yang sering dan kualitas yang baik. Isi pesan seksualitas lebih ditekankan pada penanaman nilai-nilai moral, cara mengendalikan dorongan seksual yang sehat dan sesuai agama, serta lebih selektif memilih teman dan menghindari paparan media pornografi.
